HOW TO CHARGE MY SPORTDOG® SPORTTRAINER® SD-1275
KNOW WHEN TO CHARGE
- Your remote transmitter will indicate a low battery when the battery icon only has one of three bars filled.
- Your collar will indicate a low battery with a red light flashing once every 4-5 seconds.
Please note that your collar will have a solid red light anytime you signal a static stimulation from your remote. This is normal and should not be confused with the low battery indicator.
Align the hole in the Charging Cradle with the collar’s Indicator Light as shown in the image.
Push down on the Charging Cradle until it snaps into place.
Plug the charger connector into the Charging Cradle.
Solid Green- Charging in process
Flashing Green- Charging complete
Power the collar on after charging to continue normal operation.
The charger end that resembles a fork can also only be inserted in one direction. You may notice that one side of the charger end is slightly wider than the other end.
When inserted properly into the remote, the charger will click into place and the battery icon on the screen will indicate it is filling.
Be cautious not to force the charger into place.
When the collar is finished charging, the Indicator Light will flash green. The transmitter battery icon will stop filling and appear full.
You can expect the remote transmitter to have a battery life of 50-70 hours between charges.
GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BATTERY
- Turn your collar off between charges to preserve your battery.
- Charge your units once a month if you need to store them for long periods of time.
- Only charge the remote transmitter and collar when you see the low battery indicator. Overcharging the remote transmitter or collar can shorten the battery life.
