HOW TO FIT THE CABELA'S® REMOTE TRAINER COLLAR TO MY DOG
Avoid leaving the collar on your pet for more than 12 hours per day to prevent skin irritation. If skin irritation does occur, stop using the collar and call your vet.
X-Series: Fit The Collar Receiver
Start with your collar in the off position.
With your dog standing, center the collar receiver on the front of your dog’s neck under the chin.
Fasten the collar so that it fits snugly. You should only be able to fit one finger between the strap and your dog's neck. This will help ensure both contact points are touching your dog's skin.
- If your dog has long or thick fur, you can trim the hair down (DO NOT shave) or use the longer contact points included in your kit.
Dogs may tense up while being fitted for the first time. Allow your dog to wear the collar for about 10 minutes, then recheck the fit and adjust as necessary.
