HOW TO REPLACE MY SPORTDOG® FIELDSENTINEL™ HANDHELD BATTERY
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Make sure you purchase the correct battery replacement kit for the Handheld.
If you have the model number SDT00-17811 or SDT00-17812 on the back of your handheld, you can purchase a replacement battery kit here.
Remove the 9screws from the back of the remote with a T8 screwdriver. Then remove the back cover.
- If you purchased a battery replacement kit from our website, a T8 screwdriver is provided in the kit.
Remove the battery from the handheld by pinching the sidesand pulling down and out.
Pinch the battery’s wires next to the white connector and pull the battery’s wire plug out of the connector in the handheld.
- If it doesn’t initially come out, pull slightly harder.
Take the new battery’s wire plug and insert it into the connecter in the handheld. Then place the battery inside the back of the handheld.
Remove the rubber gasket from the handheld’s back cover. You can do this with a paperclip or something similar.
- You may need to wipe out any dirt or debris that has built up.
Replace the gasket with the new gasket provided in your battery replacement kit.
- This step is important for the remote to remain waterproof.
Put the front and back of the remote back together, and hand tighten all 9 screws.
- Be careful not to fasten the screws too tight as this can damage the handheld.
