HOW TO REPLACE MY SPORTDOG® PROHUNTER® 2525 HANDHELD BATTERY
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Replacement battery kits can be purchased from our website here.
Remove the screws from the bottom of the handheld using the hex wrench provided in the battery replacement kit.
Remove the bottom cover, careful to not pull it away completely as there are wires connecting to it. Do NOT pull on these wires (orange and black).
Pull out the battery pack carefully. You will then see another set of wire (red and black) connecting from the battery pack to a white connector.
Pinch the wires firmly between two fingers on either side of the white connector and pull. The white connector will separate in two parts with wires connected to one half.
Take the new battery’s wire plug and insert it into the white connecter in the handheld. Then place the battery inside the back of the handheld.
Replace the bottom of the remote, and hand tighten the 3 screws.
Be careful not to fasten the screws too tight as this can damage the handheld.
