HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERY IN MY CABELA'S® GUN DOG REMOTE TRAINER GS-8100

The battery in your remote transmitter is replaceable. It can be expected to need replacing every 3-5 years. The replacement battery can be purchased HERE. Please note the gasket and screwdriver that come with the replacement battery, do not apply to your system.

Remove the screws on the back of the handheld remote using a T8 star bit driver and remove the back of the remote.

Locate the white battery plug that connects the battery to the handheld transmitter.

Firmly grasp the wires at the base of the white battery connector and pull the plug from the back of the handheld remote.

Insert the new battery and plug the white battery connector into the handheld transmitter until it clicks into place.

Before replacing the back cover, ensure the gasket is still in place or reinstall if it has come out upon removal of the back cover.

Replace the back cover and tighten all the screws until they are hand tight. Be careful not to overtighten, as this can cause damage to the housing of the handheld.

When a battery replacement has been made, it will be necessary to re-pair the units back together after a 2-hour charge.
