HOW TO REPLACE THE CHARGE PORT COVER ON MY CABELA’S® GUN DOG® GS-8000 OR GS-9000 HANDHELD
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Your remote is still completely waterproof without the rubber charging port cover. However, they do help keep mud and debris from getting in your charge port and prevent damage to the charging system.
Remove the screws from the back of the remote with a T-8 Torx driver. Then remove the back of the remote.
Locate the rubber cover slot and remove any pieces left. Even if your rubber cover is missing, you should still check for any remnants.
Slide the T-shaped tab of the rubber cover into the slot on the remote.
Replace the back cover of the remoteand hand-tighten all the screws.
Be careful not to fasten the screws too tight as this can damage the remote transmitter.
