MY DOG DOESN’T RESPOND TO MY SPORTDOG® PROHUNTER® 2525 COLLAR
Remove the collar from your dog before troubleshooting.
Ensure that both the handheld and collar receiver have sufficient charge, and the collar is powered on.
- If sufficiently charged and powered on, the collar receiver should blink green every 5 seconds, and the handheld’s indicator light will illuminate green when a button is pressed.

Ensure that both contact points on your collar receiver are hand-tight.
Verify that your handheld and collar receiver are paired.
- To confirm this, turn your dial to any number and then press the button you use to correct your dog. Be careful not to touch the contact points to avoid feeling the stimulation. The collar receiver’s indicator light will light up a solid red while the button is being pressed if paired.
- If the collar doesn’t light up, please pair your handheld and collar. You can learn how to do that by referring to HOW TO PAIR THE SPORTDOG® PROHUNTER® 2525 HANDHELD & COLLAR.
Ensure that the collar is delivering the stimulation.
- Step 1. Turn your Intensity Dial to 8.
- Step 2. Place the test light tool’s two wires on the collar’s contact points.
- Step 3. Then, press and hold the upper button on the front of the remote. An amber-colored light will glow in the center of the test light tool, confirming the static stimulation is being delivered
