HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT SPORTDOG® NOBARK SBC-10 MODE FOR MY DOG

MODES EXPLAINED

  • In Progressive Correction mode, the correction starts at 1 and increases to the next level each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. If your dog does not bark again within 30 seconds, the correction will reset to 1.
  • In User-Selected mode, you manually choose the correction level. If your dog barks, the collar will correct him at your selected level until he stops barking.
  • In Test Mode, use the provided Test Light Tool to ensure the unit is functioning properly. This mode is for testing only and should not be used when your dog is wearing the collar.

WHICH MODE IS RIGHT FOR YOUR DOG?

If you and your dog are beginners with the NoBark collars, starting in Progressive Correction Mode is recommended. This will allow you to observe your dog with the collar to help identify the correction level they recognize.

If you already know what correction level your dog responds to or have identified this through the progressive mode, you can now set the collar to their recognition level by changing the mode to User-Selected Mode. For help changing modes visit our article, HOW TO CHANGE MODES ON MY SPORTDOG® SBC-10.

Proper supervision when the bark collar is first introduced is essential so that your dog doesn’t get into a bark-correction cycle. For more information on the bark-correction cycle, visit SPORTDOG® SBC-10-HOW TO FIND YOUR DOG’S RECOGNITION LEVEL.
