HOW TO FIND MY DOG'S RECOGNITION LEVEL ON THE CABELA'S® GUN DOG TRAINER
No matter the size or breed of your dog, all trainers should start at level 1.
At no point should your dog vocalize or panic. If they do, start from the lowest level, and repeat the process.
Starting at an intensity level 1 on the remote, correct your dog when doing something undesirable.
Look for signs from your dog, like looking around in curiosity or flicking his ear, that shows your dog recognized the stimulation.
If your dog shows no signs of recognition, you may advance to the next level of intensity on your remote and try again.
IMPORTANT: At no point should your dog vocalize or panic. If they do, start from the lowest level, and repeat the process.
Once the recognition level is identified, this is the level you should start at when you begin training.
